CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

At Protect & Detect, we believe that our success is not just measured by the services we offer but also by the positive impact we create on our community and the environment around us.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is at the heart of our business strategy and it shapes how we operate.

Group Mental Health Event

On December 23rd 2024, we had a company-wide Mental Health and Wellbeing morning, at the Beattie Suite inside the Portman Road Stadium. We sat down with everyone from the group, DPL Group Ltd & Green Technology Solutions (Suffolk) Ltd, to engage and discuss our mental health and how to help ourselves and others, and even though we are in a season of great joy it can be a very difficult time for some.

We also welcomed Jack from the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity, who shared his inspiring story with us and spoke about the great services Lighthouse offers.

The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity is the only charity that provides emotional, physical and financial wellbeing support to the construction community and their families.

Their mission is to ensure that our construction community can easily access the emotional, physical and financial wellbeing support they need and to develop healthy and sustainable futures for this generation and the next.

They have a 24/7 helpline that offers free and confidential support and advice on a wide variety of wellbeing issues. They have expert helpline advisors who provide a listening ear and can signpost you to additional support where necessary. Also, they have a team of specialist caseworkers who can support you with complex and multiple issues, and will work with third party organisations to ensure that you are able to access all the possible support available.

Track Day Car

Our Track Day experience is often a prize for a lucky winner of multiple raffles and auctions throughout the year.

Our DPL Track Day Car has been given a new look! Inspired by BMW’s M4 GT3 Evo livery, our M2 track car got a refresh! Thank you to Funkeefish for the design and wrap.

Should you be the lucky winner of a Track Day Experience, on the day, you will go through a comprehensive Health & Safety briefing and then the fun begins. First off you will be taken around the course by one of our experienced drivers. Together, you will navigate challenging corners, unleash the horsepower of the car on the straights, and relish the thrill of high-speed driving.

Depending on previous agreements, you may have the opportunity to even get behind the wheel yourself – but don’t fear someone will be in the car with you at all times.

The Specs of the Car:

  • The car is a 2019 BMW M2 Competition
  • The engine has been tuned to 535 BHP by Hybrid Tune
  • The suspension is bespoke made by Nitron and set up by Rick Kerry of British Touring Car
  • The brakes are AP 5000 as fitted to BTC
  • The Tyres are semi-slick Nankank AR 1 race compound

Fabio Wardley

DPL Group is proud to sponsor rising star Fabio Wardley, an undefeated professional heavyweight boxer who just so happens to be from our hometown of Ipswich!

In the world of professional boxing, talent often shines brightest when it’s nurtured and supported from its very roots. As a company with a strong commitment to its local community, DPL Group understands this sentiment all too well. Over the past three years, the DPL Group have had the distinct honour of sponsoring and supporting a rising star in the heavyweight boxing arena – Fabio Wardley.

Fabio is no stranger to the spotlight. As a promising heavyweight prospect, he has faced formidable opponents such as Michael Coffie, David Adeleye and Frazer Clarke, demonstrating his undeniable talent and determination in the ring. Fabio has fought in prestigious venues such as the O2 Arena in London and Kingdom Arena, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. His previous and upcoming fights have been screened live on Sky Sports Boxing – if you look closely, you’ll see our logo on his kit! One unique aspect of this sponsorship is that one of our employees not only serves as Fabio’s close friend but also takes on the role of his ring trainer.

“It is a pleasure to support and sponsor such a great local talent. Investing in the Ipswich community is core to our business beliefs.” – Vincent Langley, Director

Next Chapter Charity Event

On the 19th of December 2024, Protect and Detect, DPL Group and Green Technology Solutions (Suffolk) Ltd all joined together to raise donations for the ‘Next Chapter’ charity.

Bringing joy at Christmas time by providing new toys and games, as well as essential items like toiletries and clothing.

They provide free and confidential services to support people who are currently experiencing or have previously experienced domestic abuse. They also provide; support for women and children seeking refuge from abuse, emotional support for children and young people, parenting support, family work, and group work.

“We are passionate about ensuring that every person has the opportunity to live their lives free from domestic abuse. We provide free and confidential services to support people who are currently experiencing or have previously experienced domestic abuse. With our support, survivors of domestic abuse can reclaim their lives and choose the future they want.” – Next Chapter

The toy donation that we provided meant that more children were able to enjoy and open a present on Christmas Day.

It brought smiles to faces that might otherwise have gone without, making the festive season brighter for families in need. Creating moments of joy and nurturing a sense of community and goodwill at Christmas, values we all need to carry throughout the year.
